5-8 with a win over Miami
After week thirteen we have finally got our fifth win, with still a glimmering hope of clinching playoffs and becoming a menace to the rest of the league. At this point I want to play the spoiler for someone, whether it is the Giants or the Cowboys. The good things that I saw from the Eagles was more running than we have seen in weeks. In the first quarter, Vick was struggling and slipping all over the place, but he gained his composure and came through in the second. My major concern for the offense was that they still have not been a second half offense that continues to dominate. They get to a comfortable spot and then do not score in the second half. That has a been a problem area all year. The defense was spectacular, getting a lot of pressure on Moore (quarterback of Miami) and taking him out of the game for awhile. The defense had four sacks in the first two quarters of play with the defensive secondary getting two turnovers, which helped take the wind out of the crowd and the opposing team. I am still concerned that if we win out and make the playoffs that Andy Reid will get another shot in his thirteen years stint with the Eagles. We need him gone if we are ever going to be able to rebuild.

What A Week 11!!
After a tough loss last week that practically made a win out season to make it to the playoffs, the birds came out with Vince Young slingin and beat the rivalry in the Giants 17-10. Our defense was all over the field making it impossible for the giants run and pass game. For one week, we actually put some pressure on the opposing quarterback. Our defensive line had more push off the line than in anyother weeks. The linebackers looked crisp and our dbacks were all over their wide receivers making them look inferior. Giving up one touchdown and a solo fieldgoal was exactly what the eagles defense had to do to win the game. Vince Young was tested with a lot of deep balls. The result was 2 tds wih 4 interceptions. You can't blame the guy bc the guy hasnt played a game all year and after all, he helped the birds win the game which is most important. My only big comment on the day is is that they should of ran a true west coast offense with short passes and more running but whatever they did worked so I will take it.

feedback
My feedback was strong. I only got one comment back but I was informed that there was a possible trade for second and third round draft pick of next year. The trade would leave us with former eagles player brian dawkins and linebacker DJ Williams from the Denver Broncos. This would be a decent rade but i think it is important to have that second and third round draft pick.

2-4....Buying it or not?
This was a great full game from our defense. They were making big hit, breaking up big passes, and intercepting the ball. Coleman came out of the day with three picks, which was the first time in 8 years that an eagles player had three interception in a game. Asomaugh had a few big hits which we havent seen all year. The line played great as usual and a little guy by the name of rodgerise-cromarde came out to mplay with a few broken plays. Linebacks played so so but if the trade that they speak of goes through than we could see dawkins come back with a guest and his name is dj williams (linebacker) which could ebnefit the defense that much more. Everyone is getting on the offense for not coming out and playing in the second half. They came out to play just were not as effective as the first half was. You have to rmemeber that ick is playing with a broken hand and with a 17 mpoint lead... the offense wanted to stay on the field as long as possiblew with our defense playing the way they did. I will give last week a B+. I am not backing up on the urgency to get Reid off the sidelines, but i will congratulate him on a win. Cya next week.

1-4.....What in God's name is going on?
I am asking for Andy Reid's head in this one. Let's bring on Gruden. Andy had no answer for the Bills in the second half of football after scoring two touchdowns in the first half. We had no production on offense but what makes it worse is the fact that we are leading the league in turnovers with three picks and forced fumble on Sunday. Our defense can not get a grip on tackling. it is atrocious and in my opinion, we have missed that big hit in the secondary since Brian Dawkins left. Good job Jeff....thanks for letting him go. There is no leadership on the defensive side of the ball.... NO ONE to turn to when the defense needs that crucial big stop at the end of the game to get a shot to come back and win. We do not have that anymore. The Eagles are slowly fading into the background of the NFL and they are all to blame. It is sad because I feel like I say the same thing every week because I do but what is even sicker is that the Eagles still have a chance to get to the Playoffs. Our division is not that good right now. it would take a lot but it is definitely not out of the question with five big divisional games int he near future. What happens if we do that?......Do we give Andy Reid another year which is still left on his contract or do we let him go anyway? MY answer.........DRUM ROLL PLEASE................................................................GOD NO

1-3....What is the Problem? (rant)
What is going on with the Eagles. I mean come on, this is absolutely ridiculous. the fact that the Eagles are starting their season off with a 1-3 record is horrible. Andy Reid needs one thing and thing only, retirement. His production on the offensive side of the football has stayed the same since his arrival. I got news for all you eagles fans. It doesn't matter about the quarterback which is proven with four changes at the quarterback position in the last 5 years, it doesn't matter about your receivers or offensive lineman or the defense which have all proven very bad in the last four 3 games, but instead starts off at the top. And the top of Mount Reid is crumbling as the weeks go by. We need him gone so we can have a chance to start off with a fresh start at the most valuable position, the head coach position. Reid is bad but you know what really gets me? It is the guys that you overpay for to get them to come to philly, which is a great move but not so much when they don't show up week after week. I thought that our three studs at first were not being used properly but now that they have more one on one defensive opportunities, I see them blowing assignments and can i please get someone besides a defensive linemen to make a big hit. There is no intensity on that side of the ball. Let's be honest; getting rid of Brian Dawkins and David Akers was a huge loss and still is. If I could say one thing to the Eagles, I would tell them to step it up or have fun watching the playoffs on your big screen TV's.

What happened?...1-2
With week 3 over, I think we all find ourselves asking, "what happened and how are we getting off to this poor start?" The Giants put up a decent effort but if it was not for our poor defense and coaching decisions, we could have pulled off a relatively easy win. Defense is defined as the tactics and strategy of defending against an attack. I would love to know where that was Sunday. We had our hopes that Casey Matthews might be more affective in the outisde linebacker postition but it proved obvious that he wasnt when he was beaten on a wide open touchdown pass. Jarrad Page is not making a good argument just yet for why he should be getting in as much as he has, but he is young and I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he will pick it up. The defensive line held up the rush and put some pressure on Manning with 3 sacks and 43 tackles, while rushing the passer rather well. I am assuming that Asamoaugh, Asante Samuel, and Rodgeris-Cromartie just did not feel like coming out to play in their home opener giving up 4 touchdowns. They made Victor Cruz look like Jerry Rice cathching two touchdown passes with 110 yards. I would bring up the fact that Nate Allen is clueless but it is pointless because he has been a no show all year. What a joke that is. Offense...oh boy. I am convinced Andy Reid has overstayed his welcome in Philadelphia. Who runs the ball with Owen Schmidt on the inch yard line when you have Mccoy to go up and over or Ronnie Brown to pound through the middle? Andy's redzone offense has been horrific throughout the years so we knew that this was going to happen. Another thing, when you are on the 40 yard line and it is fourth down, either punt the ball or put Vick in the shotgun so if the coverage is good, he still has the chance to take off for the first down. Here is an idea. When Kafka comes in out of no where, do not abandon the run and do not open off his first drive with a long pass. You are setting him up for disaster and you know it. I will end my post with a plea to the league asking them to pay more attention tot he hits that Vick takes almost every passing play. Just because he is a mobile quarterback does not mean that they should not, throw that little yellow flag that they have in their back pocket like they do for Tom Brady. Thank You
